Yoga Tune Up for Men

Feel absolutely at ease in our beginning men’s yoga class. You’ll be introduced to the foundational poses of yoga in a non-competitive and supportive environment. Focus on improving flexibility in areas that men often find tight – the hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and back. Perfect for absolute beginners and accessible to all fitness levels and ages. You’ll explore physical poses, learn breathing and relaxation techniques, increase strength and stamina, improve mental focus, and cultivate a general sense of well-being. Come discover the benefits of yoga for yourself. It’s okay if you can’t touch your toes!
Melissa believes yoga should be accessible to all age groups, backgrounds, and fitness levels, and guides students through breathing techniques, focusing the senses, contemplative practices, and coordinated body movement. Her goal is to encourage students to develop their own personal practice and to find a sense of inner happiness, balance, and well-being.
Melissa is a Sonoma based yoga teacher who was first introduced to yoga in 2002. It wasn’t until 2011 that she was drawn into a deeper personal practice, which eventually led her to follow her passions and pursue teaching. Yoga has helped transform her life, and inspired her to share the gift of yoga with others. She completed her training program in the Raja tradition through Yoga Community in 2015, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Her teaching style emphasizes listening to your body and inner wisdom.
