This unique style of asana takes traditional heating and cooling poses (Ha/Ta) and the Raj (king) of the yoga world, Kundalini Yoga, and blends them into a harmonious practice with a light flow, set to beautiful, unique music. We will set our intention at the beginning of class and hold that spirit throughout our physical practice, ending with a thoughtful shavasana (rest time), reflecting upon that intention. This is a workout that will strengthen the whole self. Mind Body and Soul! Get ready for transformation!

A chance to calm the nervous system and bring awareness to the body, heart, and mind. Strengthen, balance, and unwind in this 60 minute practice. Through gentle Hatha postures, lengthened stretching, deep body awareness, and mindfulness meditation, cultivate a sense of joy and clarity to carry with you off the mat. All levels welcome.

A strong desire for heart healing and spiritual purpose brought Shauna to Yoga Community’s 200 Hour Advanced Studies And Yoga Teacher Training Program. Embracing the cultivation of the mind offered by her training in Raja yoga (eight limbed path) and valuing the benefits of a solar and lunar physical practice, better known as Hatha yoga, Shauna cultivates her own style rooted in alignment of the breath and the body and the natural flow of “prana” or life force. Residing in Sonoma since she was six years old, Shauna has a strong connection and deep love for her community and wishes to share that energy and essence with her students whether local or otherwise.
